CEO DATELINE - Report: Former Security Industry Association CEO dies

Richard Chace, who led the Security Industry Association for 10 years as CEO, died Sept. 23 from health complications after contracting rabies, the industry publication Security Sales and Integration reported. He was 49.
Chace was in Shenzhen, China, at the time of his death. He resigned from the Silver Spring, Md.-based SIA in 2011 and afterward moved to China to develop the Global Security Industry Alliance as the group's chairman and CEO.
Chace had led SIA since 2001, having previously been the group's director of communications. Don Erickson succeeded him.
